The book The Light Catchers by Kristine Budze is dedicated to the most valuable glass chandeliers in the collection of the Rundale Palace Museum.
In the first part of the book, the history of glass chandeliers in Europe is described, tracing the development of chandeliers, and characterising the types, structural and decorative elements of chandeliers and the glass used in their manufacturing, its composition, and properties. The book provides an insight into the history of glass production and the distribution of glass chandeliers in the current territory of Latvia, as well as glass chandeliers in Rundale Palace, their origin and restoration are characterised.
The second part of the book is a catalogue of the collection of historical glass chandeliers of the Rundale Palace Museum aggregating information on 12 chandeliers from the nine churches of Latvia (Asare Lutheran, Feimani Catholic, Gaiki Lutheran, Klostere Lutheran, Lielsalaca Lutheran, Liepupe Lutheran, Livberze Catholic, Lutrini Lutheran, and Spare Lutheran). All 12 chandeliers are currently in the collection of the Rundale Palace Museum. They are the only glass-arm chandeliers made in the 18th century which have survived in Latvia. The catalogue includes a detailed description of the chandeliers, information on the potential origin, and the restoration performed, and a general view of chandeliers in photographs taken by the designer of the book designer Alexey Murashko where individual fragments of the chandeliers have also been highlighted.

Das Buch The Light Catchers von Kristine Budze ist den wertvollsten Glaslüstern der Sammlung des Rundale Palace Museum gewidmet.
Im ersten Teil des Buches wird die Geschichte der Glaslüster in Europa beschrieben, wobei die Entwicklung der Lüster nachgezeichnet und die Typen, die strukturellen und dekorativen Elemente der Lüster sowie das zu ihrer Herstellung verwendete Glas, seine Zusammensetzung und seine Eigenschaften charakterisiert werden. Das Buch gibt einen Einblick in die Geschichte der Glasproduktion und die Verbreitung von Glaslüstern auf dem heutigen Gebiet Lettlands. Auch die Glaslüster im Schloss Rundale, ihre Herkunft und Restaurierung werden beschrieben.
Der zweite Teil des Buches ist ein Katalog der Sammlung historischer Glasleuchter des Rundale-Palastmuseums, der Informationen über 12 Leuchter aus den neun Kirchen Lettlands (Asare lutherisch, Feimani katholisch, Gaiki lutherisch, Klostere lutherisch, Lielsalaca lutherisch, Liepupe lutherisch, Livberze katholisch, Lutrini lutherisch und Spare lutherisch) zusammenfasst. Alle 12 Kronleuchter befinden sich derzeit in der Sammlung des Rundale Palace Museum. Sie sind die einzigen Glasarmleuchter aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, die in Lettland erhalten geblieben sind. Der Katalog enthält eine ausführliche Beschreibung der Kronleuchter, Informationen über die mögliche Herkunft und die durchgeführte Restaurierung sowie eine Gesamtansicht der Kronleuchter in Fotografien, die von dem Designer des Buches, Alexey Murashko, aufgenommen wurden, wobei auch einzelne Fragmente der Kronleuchter hervorgehoben werden.
